  1. Harry Blackwell says:

In Walsall Dave Church is standing in Blakenall and there are four other candidates with no description. It is likely that they are all standing for the Democratic Labour Party, whose electoral registration has lapsed but I believe that they still exist.

  2. Nick Parker says:

There are nine TUSC candidates standing in Lincoln which is in the Midlands region.

    Results

    Walsall- Blakenall Ward

    Church Dave 452 18.8% 3rd

Dave Church is former Labour leader of Walsall Council and was leader of the Democratic Labour Party, a left wing split in the 1990s. He was active in the Socialist Alliance and in TUSC. Blakenhall ward was won by a DLP member in 2012 (Councillor Pete Smith). The DLP has a lapsed electoral registration which may explain why Dave stood under ‘no description’. There are other candidates who stood as ‘no description’ but I don’t know if they are DLP.

Birmingham Communities Against the Cuts candidates’results:

    Bournville Robert Nickson 203 2.6% 6th
    Kings Norton Christopher Hughes 207 4.0% 5th
    Northfield Katherine Dunn 86 1.4% 6th

    Total 496 2.6%
