The Happy Monday Club: Bez takes on the system

Bez (Mark Berry to some), the maraca player from the Happy Mondays, has thrown his hat into the electoral ring and he’s ready to take on the establishment in the form of Salford’s Hazel Blears.

frack bezHe said “I’ve been saying we need a revolution and there’s no good shouting about it when you’re not actually doing anything. If you want to do something about things you’ve got to get into the corridors of power and take them on.”

Denouncing war, bankers and GM foods he launched his candidacy by going doing to the anti-fracking protests at Balcombe. He said “If you’re voting for me, you’re voting as a protest about what’s happening in the world at the moment.”

Bez lives near Manchester brews his own beer and keeps bees. He describes lobbying as “legalised bribery” regards standing up for the people as “my duty as a conscious warrior” and that “there’s a monster on our doorstep and we must stop it”

He said his policies would end the present banking system before confiscating their wealth and redistributing it. “I’m going to create a new world order and get rid of them and start again with a new, fairer system without evil being the main policy.”

And promoting sustainable living would also be a priority for the keen beekeeper. He said: “One of my policies would be a permacultural society where we’ll end illness and get everybody back to an alkaline state.”

I’m not really sure what that is but I’m sure many people will relate to what he’s saying when he said that “I’d like to shame Labour politicians into doing their jobs properly.”
